    3. Hi Debbie- in the Randolph Co Marriages, there's a marriage for William H. Pennington age 24 (parents Solomon A & Jane) to Pheby Smith age 21 (parents AC & Elizabeth ) on 7 Dec 1865. I did not find a Henry mentioned likewise in the 'They Rest Quietly' book. The books of census info used to be made up by Wes Cochran out of Parkersburg but last month I sent a request and it came back undeliverable so I don't know about him. Probably the easiest way is to order them is thru your local LDS Family History Center on long term loan. The only census I have are 1840, 1850, 1860 and 1870 because they are relatively small. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [SMTP:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, March 22, 1999 2:10 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Pennington Shaunta and Pennington Researchers, I've been looking and asking for information. But I still believe that Henry and Virginia were cousins. That much I'm sure of. I hear everyone talking about how to search Census records on line, but no one ever gives clear information about where to search for Randolph County, WV census on line. I also would like to know where and how to get books about Randolph County, WV census. Debbie Debbie, I think you should look for a marriage record to verify William's parentage (look in more than one county, including Red House, MD--I have some Pennington's that crossed the WV/MD line to get married). That William lived at his dad's with several young children also present doesn't really tell us that he's the father of Henry C. Pennington, although he certainly could be. If you could find an 1870 census maybe that could tell us whether William lived at home then or whether he had a wife and child (perhaps Jesse). I'll let you know if I come across anything about a William and Henry Pennington that seems relevant. shaunta ==== WVRANDOL Mailing List ==== My homepage is now under radical construction-------- http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/3577 - After too many complaints to Travellers about privacy and accuracy, they are shutting down all GEDCOMs there, mine included.
