Cynthia, I apreciate your response. I have found out a little since I posted this. So, let's compare notes. > << Who was Sarah (Vernoy) Hornbeck the daughter of. > Sarah's Mother was Sarah Vernoy. and her husband was Johannes Wesley Westfall, > (1724-1789) son of Abel Westfall and Anna Bogard. >> > > Johannes Westfall was the second husband of Sarah Vernoy. He was also a witness > at the probation of her first husbands estate in 1757. I had seen this but did not have the date. Thanks. >>Her first spouse was Jonathan Hornbeck b. 1730 Kingston, s/o Johannes Hornbeck and Orseltje >>Westbrook. I concur on the date, in fact I have Born and Baptised on Feb 1, 1730. >>Jonathan had a brother named Daniel who was b. 1726 and may be (?) the Daniel of the >>coroner's Jury. In relationship to the Hornbeck family, Daniel was a very frequently used name. I would tend to agree with this too. A few things I have learned about Daniel: b. Sep 25, 1726, Kingston, Married twice once to a Magdalene and once to a Mary. Dates, Maiden names and places still unknown. I do know that by one of them he had a sonnamed Solomon Hornbeck that married a Lydia Alkire. Daniel died about 1778 in Hampshire Co., WV. Hardy was not formed till 1785. > Sarah Vernoy was bpt. 6 Feb 1732 in Rochester, Ulster Co., NY. She's listed in > Hoes Kingston RDC Records book as # 4029. Her parents were Johannes Vernoy b. > 1681 and Jenneken Low/Louw. I had that Sarah's Mother was also Sarah, but no Maiden name, you did me three better with a Maiden name, a Father and a source. You Win. Thanks! Jay
