For those of you who are looking for places in the US, try this site: http://mapping.usgs.gov/www/gnis/gnisform.html It is excellent and is one I use for all my web sites and when I am trying to locate something in an area I am unfamiliar with. You can fill out just the state and county and find all the listings for that county, state or you can be more exact with a name and state and county or a "type" ie; cemetery and county and state. I posted this some time ago but I thought there might be some out there who could use it again. Happy hunting!
