Is there anyone who can check a birth or death for me - or marriage of her parents? I checked the 'net but the time I need is not available in any source I can find. I found a child on the Randolph County 1910 census, named Marjorie McCroby - age 6. I didn't make a copy of the census whe I looked at it (don't scold). She is listed with Bessie (no different last name shown), and she in the household of Dave McCroby. What I am looking for: date of birth, mother's name - father's name, possible date of death. I don't have any other record of this little girl, and Bessie later had a son with David. Marjorie would have been my dad's aunt, but as near as I can figure, she died before he was born (1925). tHANKS FOR YOUR HELP. Oops - darn 'caps lock'!!!

For whatever it is worth, I knew a Marjorie McCrobie who lived in Mill Creek when I went to high school there in the 1950s. She helped cook lunch at the grade school, where the high school kids went for hot lunch. She had at least one son, and I think actually two sons, who attended Tygarts Valley High School. Her son, Darrell McCrobie, was in the graduating class of 1953, one year ahead of me, and his photo is in that year's yearbook which I have and can scan.
