I have a note that another researcher's mother stated: "Phoebe married Vinson B Pennington. Her parents are John Flanagan and Mary Ann Roy. Phoebe was born 23 Mar 1837 and died 24 Jan 1918. Venson born Jan 1812 Randolph Co., died 20 Aug 1884. Both buried Randolph Co., Cemetery #146 ("They Rest Quietly" book). " I'm thinking that "Vinson, Venson, and Vincent" are the same man.
