Hello, I'm a multiple descendant of Abraham Kittle and have been to the cemetery. It was bad the last time I was there but has now been cleaned up by Alan Haught and his brother. I have been passing the word around and might be able to help some this summer with additional clean-up. Eleanor Hi Cindy, I am thrilled to hear from you. Where do you live ? I live in Pa. almost 5 hours away from Elkins. I was at the cemetery about August and it was awful. So decided to try to do somethng about it. Bill Rice agreed to oversee the money and arrange for clean up and will do some work himself time permitting. We have an account in Davis Trust in Elkins and so far have only $930.00 which is pretty good to start. I have sent out about 200 letters to people in that area who are probably descendants of those buried there. Not much response yet from them. My goal is to get enough money to start a trust fund which will provide perpetual care after we are gone. I heard from a Cathy who offered to help me with typing and things like that on a computer. She also sent money. I need help posting this write-up on the lists as I do not know how to cut and paste and it does not look loo good. Do you belong to a lot of lists of Wv ? If you can do any physical clean up, contact Bill Rice and let him know what you want to do. And you can always send money. We will really appreciate any help. Bill does not have email. As long as everyone is on the discussion of a trust fund for cemeteries. I was wondering if anyone has an idea on where or who has a trust fund set up for the Belle-Kelly Cemetery. My maternal grandparents, great grandparents, great-great grandparents are buried there along with other family. Brakes, a couple of Tacys, and others. I know that my grandparents used to put money into an account for the care of the cemetery.
