Lyle, Thanks for the response on this question. It is really strange isn't it. The person in question for me is from Pa. and initially moved to Pendleton and later to Randolph Co.. around 1807. He started selling land inRandolph Co. in the late 1820s and there after. Again in Lewis Co., in 1835 he is selling land of which there is not record of purchase. Weird no? There is no record of his inheriting it or a land grant for war service. Thanks again! Cara
