    3. Cara, I am not sure what you are asking. If you sell land or property, you are grantor. I sell Cara an acre of land. It will be in the grantor book under my name and in the grantee book under Cara's name. Is that what is causing the problem? In Randolph I have not ever had trouble. If this doesn't answer question, give me an example. Or are you saying, it would not be under your name in the grantee book? Who in particular are you seeking? Oh, there is another situation. If I inherit land it will not show up in either book until I sell it. Then it will only be in the grantor book when I sell it. If you get something by will it is not put in the grantee book. Could that be the problem? Sometimes you go thru 3-4 generations before the thing is sold and it gets tough to track it back. Jean

    3. Jean, Yes, the same old John BREADY/BRADY, he sells more than he buys and it is driving me crazy!!! Now there are acres in Lewis Co. he is selling and never bought!!!! `And yes, Randolph is the same way. He sell 150 but only is shown buying 50. Hmmm, something is off or missing wouldn't you agree. About those grants you mentioned. Is there anyway to track them if they aren't in the Va. records? Cara
