Dear Cara: I am not an expert, but, I can think of two or three possible situations: The person got the land thru a will. Perhaps the person got one of the early land grants from the state and therefore it is not in the grantor books. Perhaps the transaction just never got in the books or was lost thru sloppy record keeping....Lyle Corder
