    3. Cara, is this dear ole Brady again? It is possible he got a deed from the state of Va.--Her bought it. The deed in those days was called a land grant from the state of Va. and it had nothing to do with war service. If nobody else had claimed the land before, you could survey it and then pay the state and they would grant you the land. Dear Richard Ware did that in 1824. It is NOT in the grantee book. He got 100 acres. He willed it to 3 sons and later it shows up in their name, each got 33 and one third acres, when they sold it. Jean
