Thanks so much. They were on the 1860 Randolph co. census, but I guess they must have moved back to Pendleton co. by 1870 because I didn't see them on the 1870 Randolph co. census. Since Pendleton co. doesn't have his birth certificate, it looks like I won't be able to find one on him. He is buried at the IOOF Cemetery in Elkins along with his wife Rosalie Spessert Hedrick. I have a list of his children which included my mother. They had ten children and there are four children that are still living. Thanks again for your help.
