Hello Blue, Yes that is the Joe Brown I am looking for information on. I was told by one of my cousins that Joe shot Scott White the sheriff in the face and that the possee thought he was going to die and so went after him and brought him back thinking he would be hung for killing the sheriff. Instead they found out he wouldn't and that he might come afte the ones in the possee as he was a bad man. Also he was supposed to be really good with gun. Did you hear any of that ?
