    2. Hooray! Sandra is getting out an Israel Cemetery pamphlet! Twice in the last year I have walked the Israel Cemetery with the idea of working with the Israel UMC church and cataloging the cemetery. You have saved this 76 year old the chore of extended roaming up and down that hillside looking for Murphy and other descendants. God is Good. When I was ready to catalog the Leading Creek Primitive Baptist cemetery up the road from Israel, Daisy Ferguson Martin stepped into the breech with a complete listing. At Knottsville UMC cemetery, Shirley Wolf came foreword to bear that burden. All I had to do was send it to RootsWeb.com. Hooray for all the ladies! Olin

    3. Hello Olin and all I see I have made the grievous error of announcing this project too soon, I had a massive stroke in 1998 that left my entire left side paralyzed (so, I type with just my right hand now) Just received the pamphlet on 24 Jan 2002( a nice birthday present) Am nearly through typing it (all 17 pages full) will be announcing it as soon as it is finished and I hope to have help from someone that will put it on Rootsweb for me! Know this, none of the data belongs to me but to the church (which is mentioned below.) As my 2nd great-grandfather Emmitt Buckey Vanscoy and his son Bruce built this church and Emmitt the pews, I have a great interest in this church . Just received several photos of this church and grounds, Now I am hoping someone can tell me if there is a list of the burials there and to compound my desires, I would like to see photos of each and every tombstone in that cemetery for my files and a tombstone project. Am on page 14 of 17 pages, these last pages are full of names of church members( with no reference to relationships.) As soon as it is finished I will be announcing it on this mailing list. Anyway, "I" am not getting out a pamphlet, I am just retyping out one that was done in 1972 with a bit of the history of the church and some of the class members are listed as well as marriages that took place in that church.
