I was just recently told that my Gilmore ancestors are buried at Israel Cemetery near Kerens, WVA, is this the same cemetery that you are talking about? Where exactly is it located? I hope to make a trip down there in the next few months and would like to find this cemetery. Thanks. Becky Lucas

Hello Becky Yes, I do believe it is the same cemetery, I just received some wonderful pictures of the church and cemetery, let me know if you can receive attachments and I will send you the pictures, I am also trying to finish typing up a 17 page pamphlet giving a history of the church and cemetery and there are Gilmore names in the pamphlet also. The church was built by my 2nd great-grand father Emmet Buckey Vanscoy and his son Bruce, the pews were all built by Emmett also.
