Sandra, There is NO Israel Church in Montrose. Israel is at Kerens, about 2-3 miles south on US 219 from Montrose. There is one cemetery at Montrose that I know about. It is at Leading Creek Primitive Baptist Church and includes portions once owned by the IOOF and, I believe, by Montrose. It is maintained by a cemetery committee with an ever increasing endowment. There is a listing for which we're indebted to Ms. Daisy Ferguson Martin who compiled the original. I had it placed on the Randolph County Roots Web Page. It is listed in the archives. Thank you so very kindly for this data,I just finished typing the entire pamphlet and the front page says Route 1, Montrose, WV 26283,I was actually told that it was located in Kerens,so, I was becoming confused a bit.I have added your name to the letter in case you were interested. I sure would like to see this kind of list for the Israel Church { Default Signature #1 } Since my stroke of October 1998. I do not send long chatty letters, and sometimes I will be slow to answer as I only have my right hand to type with. From now on I am going to attempt to type normally instead of all capitals, of course sometimes I will be in a hurry or just plain lazy! So, then it will be all capitals.
