    3. Hi Gang, Earlier I had requested anything to prove the relationship between John "Jan" Kittle and his son, Henry Petro Kittle in order to help a friend with her application for DAR. Well, here is what we found and have sent it on to the DAR in hopes they will accept it. The line I'm speaking of goes like this: Abraham Kittle, Revolutionary Soldier (Will Book, Randolph County, Book 2, page 31) John "Jan" Kittle (Deed Book, Randolph County, Book 2, page 2) Henry Petro Kittle (See the notes below) Jacob H. Kittle (Randolph County Census 1850 & 1860) Lewis C. Kittle (Death Certificate) Harvey Gay Kittle (Birth Certificate) Elva Pearl Kittle Gainer (Death Certificate) NOTE: I have checked the following Randolph County, WV Records for Henry P. Kittle: 1) Deeds 2) Wills 3) Marriage Records 4) Birth Records 5) Death Records 6) Land Records 7) Census Records I could find no records, with the exception of the Census of Randolph County, VA/WV. In the 1850 Randolph County Census V201, Henry P. Kittle is listed without a spouse, but he has in his home, Smith Kittle, Mary Kittle, James and LaFayette. Smith Kittle is presumed to be Henry's son, Mary his daughter in law, and 2 grandchildren. George and Jacob Kittle, assumed to be Henry P. Kittle's sons, are listed adjacent. In the 1860 Randolph County Census, Henry P. Kittle is in the household of Jacob and Jane Kittle, with 5 children. Smith Kittle is listed adjacent. In the 1870 Randolph County Census, Henry P. Kittle is in the household of Oliver and Rebecca Scott. It is assumed that Smith Kittle, Jacob Kittle and Rebecca Scott are the children of Henry P. Kittle and wife, Nancy (Unknown). I hope this explains Henry and thanks to all who offered help and information. Ethel
