I am trying to find information on Charles Fornelson, his daughter's Mary, and Sarah, his son's John, Jacob, and Elisha, and his wife, who I think was a Skidmore. Charles was listed with Joseph and Andrew Crouch, and James Lackey in a land grant that was issued Nov. 1 1782 and granted March 6, 1774. His children used the name Nelson instead of Fornelson, Sarah was married to John Crouch Jr., [son of John Sr.] and their family left Tygarts Valley with Joseph, [John Sr.'s oldest son] and his family 1789-1790. Sarah's sister, Mary, married John Crouch, [son of Andrew and Judith Westfall Crouch] she died in 1834, and John later remarried to ELizabeth Whitman in 1836. I would like to find out as much as possible about Charles and his family, especially Mary, who is my greatx3 grandmother. I am also wondering if anyone knows if the Nelson killed in an Indian raid was John, son of Charles. Thank You, Randy

This is intriguing to me. Dan Church of Valley Bend, WV, was my fifth grade teacher at Valley Head, WV. Woodrow Crouch, who lived between Valley Bend and Mill Creek, was one of my teachers civics, I think in high school at Mill Creek.
