I am gathering additional facts to write a story for "Goldenseal" magazine (published by WV Division of Culture and History) re the Stalnaker Family. I am looking for interesting stories that may have occurred in the family during the 21st century. I am also looking for the names of the famous and infamous in the family. For instance. . . Stalnaker Hall at WVU --- for whom was it named and why? Are there any modern day heroes in the family? We currently have one Stalnaker serving in the WV Legislature. . . and I have the names of those who have held state public office in the past. I know a great deal about the family in Lewis County and the older generations in Randolph County and the cabin and the Indian battles, etc. It's the more modern info that I need.
