    2. Diane, I agreeed with you, I checked out this site and found four of my paternal grandmother's children (my aunts--two have passed on) listed in 1931, 1935, and 1938. This is a form of genealogy research. A good site to check out, just like having old EHS year books to check out. The only sad thing, I did not find my father listed in the site. The years ranged from 1899 to present time. Mary Young, a EHS graduate

    3. Only one suggestion. Hit the delete button quickly and let everyone have their turn at what they want to discuss. We have been having a ball with recipes and remembering the past on the Pioneer List. There are a lot of queries and discussions about pioneers on lists that I am totally uninterested in and one of them is soldier White, but I defend anyone's right to talk about anyone, or any subject that pertains to Randolph Co. 2. I'm not a graduate of Elkins High School, but I think some discussion of the school and the experiences of those who attended there in their time would not be at all inappropriate for the list. Genealogy is much more than the mere collection of names and dates of the dead. It involves tracing and honoring family history and people's lives. 2. A suggestion! Much of what has been appearing on this site recently belongs in a chat room -- not in a site for genealogy. Ergo, why not honor the genealogy interest of others and handle the EHS class reunions direct or through one of the classmates chatrooms?

    3. The message that follows, posted earlier, hits the high-water mark in self-centeredness and lack of consideration for others. The writer wants to focus on one subject, regardless of what others may think. Although I take it there is a great deal of interest in soldier White, I could care less about him. Apparently, that has not occurred to Barbara as she ponders only that which she is interested. There is one good piece of advice often given when you don't like someone else's subject: Hold your tongue and hit the delete button. -- danhamrick@earthlink.net Dan Hamrick 402 23rd Street NW Canton OH 44709-3818 Telephone: 330-454-2376 > I expect to read about Soldier White. 3. Hi, We love the Pensacola area. Been in this area most of the time since 1962. We were in MD 3yrs and Jacksonville for 3 yrs. The rest of the time we've been in Pensacola and Milton. Milton is right out of Pensacola. That's where we've been since 1960 except for the 3 yrs in Jacksonville. Come on down. You'll love it. My cousins from Elkins came down last summer and liked it so much they came back this summer. They had a blast. 3. Hi, I'm jumping right in and wanted to add the site for EHS if you would like to look at it. There is a place there to add your email address in order to keep in touch with ex-classmates.
