Hi Diane Sorry, when I made this index in 1988, I included as much as I could while trying to use as little space as possible. In 1988, I had 36k floppies to put the data on and so I taught myself to make the best use of my space as I could. It is doubful they are the same Della Wolford for one was born in 1885. The other married a man who was born in 1925. The first Della would have been 40 when Calvin Flanagan was born and would have been almost, if not, 60 when he came of age to marry. I have a copy of an obit here in my "do something with it someday" pile. (We all have one or two of those) Calvin W Flanagan's obit lists his parents as Grover Cleveland Flanagan and Della Wolford. Calvin's siblings are Martin Jack Flanagan, Virginia Mae, Mildred, and Mary. I have tons of WV Wolfords but I have no idea who Della is. Has anyone ever heard of the surname Cleaver? My grandmother used to visit a Hester Cleaver that some think might have been her half sister. My grandmother was Della Mae Vance, daughter of William P. and Mahala Catherine Harper Vance. Children by this marriage were: Della Mae, William (Bill), Mary R. Mollie, Hattie, Zadie. After the death of Mahala Catherine, William P. married Ester Teter and had, Clara who married a Roy, Ed and Ted (Twins). William was killed in a sawmill accident at Horton in 1908 and Ester then married Harness Thompson and had a son .I am interested in corresponding with anyone who knows anything about any of the above people.

I have some information on the Powers --- I have a Benoni Thomas Powers (son of Thomas Powers, grandson of William) who married Elizabeth Worth MCCAULEY. Elizabeth Worth MCCAULEY was born in 1814. She died in 1887. Dau of Henry McCauley and Sarah Alkire. Benoni Thomas POWERS and Elizabeth Worth MCCAULEY had the following children: +21 i. Benoni Columbus POWERS (born in 1843). 8. Sarah POWERS (William-2, John-1) has reference number Cindy Kostka. She was married to Abel BOND. Sarah POWERS and Abel BOND had the following children: +22 i. Mary BOND. I have nothing on Benoni Teter Powes or Jemima Teter --- but that doesn't mean it is so. I have the Powers information because it connects to the Stout family. I am no expert on the Powers family, but it seems that some settled near Romine's Mills. Were these your group? Are you having trouble coming up with what family of Teters your Teter is connected to? I might be able to help there with estimated dates and places. A couple of Teter families left Pendleton and one settled in Barbour/Upshur area and another in Harrison--my branch.
