Snowberi, in re your question about the origins of ELZIE W. WOLFORD who Married CELIA RAINES, I suggest you look among WOLFORDs who married into the English ELSEY Family. The Elseys had settled in present day Preston County, West Virginia, as early as 1770 and they intermarried with other families who settled throughout the Cheat River watershed, including the Dry Fork of the Cheat River that drains the northeast portion of Randolph County, WV. The ELZAs of Randolph County are descendants of the ELSEYs that settled in Preston County. That whole area is relatively close to Bedford Co, PA. The spelling of ELZIE WOLFORD's first name is consist with the dozens of aberrant spellings (spellings of the sounds "L-Z") of the English surname ELSEY. I am a descendant of the Randolph County ELZAs and am related to all the Whites and Elzas with roots in the Dry Fork District of that county. Kim, There was a Nazelrod family in Belington, Barbour Co. WV in the 1940's/50's and maybe later as I left the area in the 50's there were several children as I recall. Just read the post of the research for Randolph Co, Waybrights. I, too, am a descendant of the Waybright family. My Waybrights are from Jackson County. Does anyone have information that they might be willing to share with me? This is what I know. My great grandmother was Mary Waybright. She was born in/or about 1852 in Jackson Co, WVA She married David W Winter(s) of Jackson County on December 12, 1872. She appeared in the 1880 census with Mr. Winter. Her parents were: William L Waybright ( DOB -1831 Lewis Co.) and Hannah Whitham (DOB 1833 Beaver Co, Pa). They were married March 6, 1851. Mrs. Waybright Winter died in her daughter's residence (Mrs. Monroe (Cora) Casto) on August 15, 1941. At the time she was survived by a brother Thomas (born 1860) of Gay, WVa. Her other siblings ( that I assume predeceased her) were Columbus (DOB 1854), James M ( DOB 1856) and John ( DOB 3/16/1858 - DOD 11//1925) - all born in Jackson Co. Does anyone recognize this line of Waybrights? If so, I could use some help. I'm new at this and only learning bits and pieces each day. Thanks. Connie Jordan

I was under the impression that John C. Flanagan had more than one wife---possibly Elizabeth Ann Fansler, Mary Susan Donohoe and Mary Ann Roy. Can anyone shed some light on this and whether the children listed below are the children of Mary Susan Donohoe or another spouse of John C. Flanagan? For example, the marriage of Vincent B.
