    2. Hi Neil, Check with the state archives and see if they have them on microfilm and ask then if they have interlibrary loan. I did this with another state. For the newspapers check the search engines for their e-mail and phone #s off of their web pages--assuming they have one. Or use the internet yellow pages or call information for their phone #s. If they don't have them on microfilm you can ask if someone will do any kind of searching. Sometimes this works great, sometimes you have to be there and go through each paper--if allowed. Bill

    3. Jeff L Carr adds the 'chink in the works' of Elizabeth ROY having married Archibald Martin BONNER, brother of Samuel H BONNER on 27 Oct 1853. Randolph County Marriages, in fact, reveals that Archibald BONNER, s. of William & Jemima m. Elizabeth ROY, d. of Joseph ROY 27 Oct 1853. There was, in fact an Elizabeth ROY in addition to Elizabeth (Nelson) Roy, which is why I mentioned the death record of the later revealing that the wife of Samuel BONNER was the d. of Absolam & Jane NELSON. What may be confusing to some is the problem of working from transcripts or indexes of the original records, which often are incomplete in description and sometimes in error. I confess that I may have erred in my own transcription of the original books in the Courthouses in question; if I have, please call me to repentance! Love ya all--keep up the good work! 3. Can I put another chink in the works? I also have Elizabeth Roy married to Archibald Martin BONNER, brother of Samuel H BONNER. That was supposed to be 27 Oct 1853. Is this Elizabeth ROY another one? I realize there could be two or more of them running around, especially at this time period. 2. Hi Jeff, I have Henry Mace's 1807 will and on there Ann Mace as executor is later Ann Bonner in the settlement 1810/1811. My assumption is that she marries Samuel Bonner who is on the 1810 census and I imagine the tax lists. One of the roads off of Hwy 15 before Monterville has a Bonner Cemetery. I tried to visit but it was on private property and no one home. They may have had Genealogist eating dogs, but I did not want to trespass regardless. Ann Mace had gotten land that I believe was near there and putting 2 and 2 together thought this cemetery might show something. Anyway never found out. Hope to some day. Bill

    3. Hello, I'm confused. I've seen (either here or elsewhere) postings indicating that Ebenezer Flanagan, who married Hannah Flanagan, was born in New Jersey in 1813. Can anyone give me a source for that information? Everything I have found, including his death record in Tucker County, indicates he was born in (W)Va. and more specifically Randolph County. Ebenezer's son, AB Flanagan, provided the information for his death record. Source for death record: Tucker County Deaths, Vol. 1, 1852-1908, LDS film no. 0816707, Record for Ebenezer Flanagan, p. 49, line 20. Thanks. shaunta (message also posted on the Tucker County List)

    2. Hello, Am also interested a bit in the Bonner family about that time ca 1800. A Henry Mace died in 1807. His wife was Ann Currence. In his will she is listed later in the settlement part as a Bonner and have assumed that she married Samuel Bonner. One of the Currence daughters did marry a Samuel Bonner I think. Any information? There is a Bonner cemetery a few miles west on Valley head and was wondering if maybe that graveyard held Maces (and Ann) as well as Bonners. Bill
