I'm seeking information on my wife's father and his ancestors. Her father, Ralph Clark MARSH Jr. was b. abt. 1929, probably in Elkins, Randolph, WV, and died in 1960 in Daytona Beach, FL. His father was Ralph Clark MARSH Sr., dates unknown, who married Annie Laura "Bonnie" RAY (d. in Elkins 6 May 1967). She was the daughter of Henry M. RAY, and as far as we know, had two sisters, Eugenia, who married ? HARRIS and had three children (Melba, Betty, and Mildred), and Sallie, who married Argil HAROLD, d. bef 1978, probably in Elkins. Ralph Clark MARSH Jr. had one sister, Mildred Rachel MARSH, who married James A. DAVIS of Elkins, who I believe is still alive. If this rings a bell with anyone, we'd be grateful for any information you'd be willing to share. George K. I read what you said, David, but could not find any mention of the email address we should use to send a message to the entire group. How about adding that address to the bottom of the messages we will receive? Something like..... To send a message to the group, use this address.... Jeffery J Carr is a very good source for your information. He is a meticulous researcher and has learned not to tell people of his suppositions until he has proved them one way or another. He is related to many of the families in the Randolph County area and has probably got a write up on them in several local libraries. I have him connected to Bright, Butcher, Carr, Johnston, Lawrence, Long, Mullenex, Puffenbarger, Summerfield, Varner. Sorry Ginger, Wrong parents. This girls are William and edith. Mie are john and Diane. Same with Margaret who married Arnold Phillips. Darn!!!!!!!!!!
I was just looking at the Margaret Jane Shoemaker(1844 to 1922 ) who married Arnold B Phillips ( 1845 to 1926 ). She would make a good candidate for John and Diane Hines Shoemakers daughter Margaret. Is any one familiar with this Phillips family. Thanks again Ray Harlow

I am researching Lydia and Margaret Shoemaker. They were born in Randolph County 1843 and 1844 daughters of John and Diane Hines Shoemaker. Lydia shows in 1850 census living with parents. I don't think she is the Lydia who married Nathan Bennett and died in 1901. Margaret shows in 1850 census living with her parents. I think she may be thee Margaret Shoemaker living and working for Simons in Randolph County in 1870. Would really appreciate any help looking for these Aunts of mine. Thanks Ray Harlow Elida, Ohio
DEAR RAY, I AM GLAD YOU ARE RESEARCHING THE STALNAKER FMAILY. WHILE I AM RELATED THROUGHT SAMUEL AND BOSTON STALNAKER , I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOUR AUNTS, BUT WILL MAKE NOTE OF THEM AND SEE WHAT I CAN FIND. Sorry to bother you but I am apparently one of those that has not receiving the list e-mail from my rootsweb list. I have sent the following e-mail to most of my list - I must be one of those that have been blocked by AOL as I have not received any e-mail for some time I will unsubscribe and re-subscribe. However since I am not receiving any e-mail from rootsweb I do not even receive my own e-mail as a member of the Marion County or as a member of any list. I have sent e-mail un-subscribing from all my list and re-subcribing to all my rootsweb accounts. Could you please let me know if you received these from Barbour Co or any of the other counties we both may belong to Marion, Monongalia, Mineral, Jackson, Harrison, Randolph, etc. Thanks. Pat
