Hello--noticed your surname list on your last post to the Raleigh Co. list--I'm also researching MCDANIELS & KIRBY--I'm descended from William W. KIRBY b. 1759 m. to Elizabeth MCDANIELS. They had at least 2 children: Miner J KIRBY b. 23 Jan 1815 m. to Violina COPELAND, and Martin KIRBY b. 1810 m. to Rebecca Susan COPELAND (sister of Violina). Martin & Rebecca had a large family: Sarah Elizabeth b. 1828 William W. b. 1833 James C. b. 1834 Nancy Jane b. 1836 (my direct ancestor) John b. 1840 Edward b. 1842 Malinda b. 1842 Louiza b. 1844 Virginia b. 1844 Margaret b. 1846 Rebecca b. 1849.
