Hi Raleigh Co. researchers, Wonder if anyone out there is researching the Roles family in Raleigh Co and surrounding area. Have 2 Roles families from Raleigh Co.: Joshua and Hannah Clark Roles (married in 1825 in Monroe Co.-moved to Raleigh Co.) Children: Andrew Alexander Nancy Selina Christopher C. Mary The second Roles family was Christopher and Francis Dew Roles (not the Christopher above) married in 1852 in Raleigh Co.. (Christopher was the son of Mordicai and Mary Hansbrough Roles from Monroe Co.) Their children: Martha Susan Henry Florence Frances Edward Joseph William Nancy married Isaac Privette James Owen Emily married Charles Tolliver Lettie married David Cox I am attempting to prove that Joshua and Christopher are related-I think Joshua is Christopher's uncle but have been unable to do so.
