Sandy is in the learning stage right now but I would like to thank her for volunteering! Changes have also been made to the Raleigh site and additional resource information added to help you in your searches. Of particular interest is a new page on researching at the WV State Archives at Charleston. I was astounded at the information available on microfilm for Raleigh County and have listed what records they have available. If you have wondered exactly what was in the Smith-Riffe Collection, there is now a link to a categorized listing of what is available in that collection. I have also added a map of Raleigh County from 1895. Warning - the file size for this map is huge so it may take awhile for the page to load. I still found it worth the wait but would suggest checking that during "non-peak" hours.
