I am being told that James W. was alive after 1890. That he went by James Edward Moten Does anyone out there have access to these records for Raleigh County to see if he was listed. I was also told that he had married. He might not be listed with Lucy. Might be looking as well for Divorce Papers for James W. or James Edward Moten. I still feel that I need to go with the 1890 Census which list Lucy as a widow. which should mean that he had died before 1890. That would had been checked out by the Government, if she had applied for a Pension. She would had been in trouble with the Government. But then I guess that it happens today, but it is easier today.
