<Hey, Nyla! <I have the parents of Phillip SOLESBURY as Jeremiah SOLESBURY and Mary Elizabeth CLAY. <Lainie OK! Let me start by saying that everyone has a right to their opinion and I don't want to start something, BUT -- Jeremiah and Mary (Polly) Shrewsbury are my G-G-G-G-grandparents and as I have documented in my book her name is only Mary or Polly on deeds and census. Also, I never found a marriage record for them. Now, I know that Tara Bangsberg submitted to the LDS Library that Mary was a Clay, the sister to Mitchell Clay, and it is widely accepted, but there has not been any sources cited to me that would show a possible, much less a probably. I have 108 pages on Jeremiah and Mary's their nine children with their descendants which in includes 30 pages on Philip. My mother, Helen Virginia (Shrewsbury) Graham, would tell me as I grew up that it wasn't nice to correct someone, but everything I have read in National Genealogical Society literature leads me to believe that documentation, and accuracy, are very important and I would be contributing to these errors if don't correct them.
