Marguerite, Have you ever visited the cemetery where Mary Jane Tyree Bailey is buried? George W. Tyree and his wife Nancy G. are also buried there. Let me know if you need directions. A word also about the courthouse: If you need a lot of records, plan to allow enough time there to handcopy. The clerks are nice about pointing out where the records are, but frown on asking to photocopy pages from the records books. You either have to handcopy them or let them type an abstract of each document, which is not cheap! The Raleigh Co. Library is excellent - there is a large number of books, history and transcribed records. Hope this helps!
