We had 2 mines for Island Creek Coal Co. on Kelly Mt. We had many of our employees & several peices of heavy equipment along with 2 helicopters involved in the rescue & relief efforts that took place just after the dam broke. I was the coridnator of flight operations at yhe hospital in Mann. There were helicopters from severalother coal companies there. We also kept our radio system in operation with several mobile units on the creek and our 2 base stations , 1 in Charleston & 1 at Scarlet.
