Lainie and all, I would also appreciate it if you would consider sharing that information with me if you get it! I wasn't going to announce this just yet, but I think I'll go ahead and do it. I'm working on a project - the 1850 Maiden Names Project. The idea behind this is to try to identify the maiden names of all of the married and widowed women in the 1850 Raleigh County Census. If additional information is found, such as a marriage date and place and her parents names, that is also added. The first two pages are up at my website (see address below) and I am working on the next page now. I have to stress that this is NOT complete and that it is still a working database which means there may be errors in what's already posted. I would be more than happy though if anyone sees an error to please point it out to me and if you can add to it, I would be thrilled to take your submission. I hope that eventually this will be as complete and accurate as possible, but to do that I really will need help from all of the Raleigh County researchers with family in the 1850 census! Thanks - look forward to hearing from y'all!
