You were gone a long time, no one seemed to be able to write to you, and none of us knew that you were involved with an ill child until you responded. My own daughter has an inoperable brain tumor, so I know how horridly stressful these last few months have been for you. I can only wish you and your family well. By the way, I try not to clutter up the lists with thank-yous, etc. I understand full well the stress those kinds of messages put on the Rootsweb equipment. I hate to respond to this now, in this manner, but I kinda feel like I needed to speak up for myself. Part of the problem many listers have is with the "Reply To" portion of the many lists....often they are set so that any response is automatically sent to the list, even if someone wishes to respond privately. Example (just one, and there are many more like this on the several lists to which I belong): Subj: Re: [WVRALEIG-L] Sherranlynn, Please update your address on the Ral. Co. page. It would be so much better if the REPLY TO was linked to the originating author rather than to the list itself.
