I am forwarding this one on to you. It is From: "Michelle Dabel" <jdabel@ida.net> "Hello All, My direct line and brick wall is WORKMAN. My father was Virgil Hinze WORKMAN d. Aug. 28 1973 b. Mar 9, 1920 in Crab Orchard, WV. His father was Elbert Ray WORKMAN, b. Nov. 29, 1900 at Madams Creek, Summers County d. Dec. 13, 1991, Largo, FL. Spouse Minerva Faye HARVEY (still living). b. Sep 4, 1903 in Raleigh Co.. His father is my brick wall; Elbert Hinze WORKMAN b. apx. 1881 in Summers Co.. WV. He married Cleora "Corie" Olive BENNETT Sep 24, 1898 in Hinton WV., she was a daughter of Simon Peter BENNETT and Martha COCHRAN. The tie to Raleigh county is the HARVEY line. My grandmother Minerva goes by the name Faye. Her parents were Michael Isaac HARVEY and Anna Jane MEADOWS. I have a lot of HARVEY info. (Some is clear and some is muddled) The MEADOWS line is another that reaches some crumbling brick walls. I have many questions on this line. One is regarding Anna Jane MEADOWS. Anna and her sister, Bertha Aubina were raised by the Austin Ballard HARVEY family after her mother died when Anna was seven years old. I have found that her parents were Irvin Delaware MEADOWS, b. apx. 1853 in Raleigh County WV. Irvin was the son of William & Hulda (PHILLIPS) MEADOWS. Anna's mother was Irvin's first wife, Ellen B. MOOMAW d. May 2, 1891 in Raleigh County, WV. Recorded in Death Book 1 Page 54, Line 61. Her parents were John B. and Ellender MOOMAW. >From here, this line gets unclear. I sent you this ton of info in hopes that some of these names would ring a bell in your databases. The WORKMAN line has one more clue. Elbert Hinze WORKMAN's marriage certificate shows his parents as R. & N. J. WORKMAN. We also know that he left his family (one son two years old) and never returned. He was in World War I, but the fire at the St. Louis records center destroyed his records. He was at the "Old Soldier's home" in Arlington, VA as late as 1944. My aunt Violet (living) called there in 1945 and was told that he left the year before. He is buried at Arlington. We have been unsuccessful at obtaining any records. Thanks tons, Michelle Lynn WORKMAN Dabel jdabel@gemstate.net "
