Lainie and all, Hi! I'll go ahead and stick my two cents in and I'm sure others can comment on this too. Sparriel and Nancy's parents were John B. and Sarah Bailey. For those of us descended from this couple, this is our brick wall. We are not sure if Sarah was a Maynor or a Stanley - we've seen good circumstantial evidence to indicate either. On John's death record, his son Booker gave the information that John was born in Dinwiddie Co. VA but did not know the names of John's parents. Sarah's death was not recorded at the courthouse. Also wanted to point out that there is a Phoebe Bailey who married Charles Workman in Fayette Co. that I haven't been able to place with this family or one of the Richard Bailey descendants. Also there is an Elvira Bailey, d. Sept. 13, 1846, and is buried in the John Bailey cemetery. I don't know if she was a child of John and Sarah's or an older relative of John's.
