Hello all, I'm pretty sure this is my last message to the list today :-) I wanted to let you know of a new project that is now online. Nyla Creed DePauk has created a companion project to expand on the 1850 Maiden Names Project. She has used information from transcripts of the 1824 and 1827 Logan County Personal Property Tax lists, the 1830 Logan County census, and the1840 Fayette County census to trace the families in the first 1850 Raleigh County census. She then used the 1860, 1870, and 1880 Raleigh County census transcripts to provide additional information on these same 1850 Heads of Households. The project is located at: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Hills/3412/RaleighCo1850table1.html and I have also included a link to her pages from the Raleigh Co. GenWeb site. I wanted to say a special thanks to Nyla for putting this together! Used with the 1850 Maiden Names Project, we feel that there's a fairly decent amount of information to begin with on these early families. But these charts are not complete yet, so please email either of us if you can help fill in the blanks! ~Melissa -- Melissa Bailey Duggins <e-mail:mduggins@lexcominc.net> Raleigh County, WV GenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvraleig/ --Please consider submitting one piece of data to the Raleigh County Archives http://www.rootsweb.com/usgenweb/wv/raleigh.htm--
