I'm in a state of confusion (constant and natural, but let's not go into *that.* Hehehe). I have a Samuel D. MEADOWS, b. ca. 1834 in VA, who married Isabel Jane LILLY on 08 June 1854 in Raleigh Co., (W)VA. I have two different families listed for Samuel. 1. William MEADOWS and Mary "Polly" ARMSTRONG. 2...John and Susan MEADOWS. My source is a family group sheet prepared by a distant cousin of my late mother. He cites the 1850 Census, Wyoming Co., (W)VA, for his William MEADOWS and Mary "Polly" ARMSTRONG connection. But that family poses a problem in that the marriage record for Samuel D. MEADOWS lists his parents as John and Susan MEADOWS. Samuel and Isabel Jane were married by T.C. HUBBARD on 08 June 1854 in Raleigh Co., (W)VA. A Samuel MEADOWS does show up in the Wyoming Census with William MEADOWS and Mary "Polly" (Armstrong), but is it the same Samuel D. MEADOWS? Can anyone straighten this out for me?
