I would get a hard copy of a Topo map and see if you can get in touch with anybody in the area. The next step would be to actually gho there on a 4x4. I know that may sound nuts. However, many here will tell you, that is the better option in many reaecrh cases. The year I used for Topo mappig was 1939. Yes,alot has changed, but the area at that time was surveyed rather well.
