Ellen Jane Bailey CLEAR CREEK - Ellen Jane Bailey, 83, of Clear Creek, died Saturday, November 15, 2003 at home surrounded by her family, following a long illness. Born January 28, 1920 at Artie, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Irvey Short Moles. Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker. She devoted her life caring for her husband, siblings, and her children. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Speed and Billy; a grandson, Billy Hughes; three brothers, Norman, Henry, and Burnett Moles; and two sisters, Danabelle and Susie. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Ramie Bailey; two sons, Jimmy of Toney's Fork, who was her primary care giver, and Sammy and wife Sharon Bailey of Toney's Fork; seven daughters, Lulabelle and husband Thomas Burgess of Farmington, Judith Ann Bailey of Farmington, Erma and her husband Victor Gibson of Beckley, Ina and her husband Billy Hughes of Clarksville, Ind., Aneta and her husband Ricky Williams of Artie, Connie and her husband Cecil Williams of Toney's Fork, and Shirley and husband Glen Bentley of Liberty, S.C.; one brother, George Ed; two sisters, Annie Goff and Maggie Runion; 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ewings Creek Community Church with Rev. Loretta Taylor CFHS 1957 and Rev. Jerry Lawrence CFHS 1960 officiating. Burial will follow in Ewing Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. at the church today. Grandsons will serve as casketbearers. Arrangements by Valley Funeral Home, Whitesville.
