Hello: As you can tell, this group enjoys Raleigh Co researching; and we love to help. Yesterday, someone asked me a question about a family he was researching, and he also mentioned a name that I immediately recognized since he had married a cousin of my mother's. That way we both learned something new, although we didn't resolve the initial question he had asked. For new comers, don't wait for the answer to magically appear. Ask specific questions and provide as much information as you can. I have a challenge for the new comers--those of you who just read the messages waiting for your surname to show up, but you have never sent a query to the group yet. Here's your challenge. Send an inquiry and ask a question or tells us what you know about a family and ask if anyone can shed additional light on the family. By discussing these families together as a group, we all learn. We never know who will have the information that can push our line back another generation. Nyla You Raleigh Co. researchers have been a group of busy folks the past couple of days. Although I have not seen any info to help me in my Aliff/Halstead research I want to let you know that I appreciate the time and effert to do the look-ups and provide the info to other researcher. Folks like you make our 'diggin' a bit easier. Hats off to all of you.
