Hi Everyone, I just wanted to tell everyone how much I enjoy reading all your posts. Both sides of my family moved to Edwight in the 30's to work in the mines. I was born there in 1951. My mom was Gaynell Sifers and my Dad was Ernest (Hunk) Layton. My sincere thanks to everyone for making this my favorite list. I look forward to reading the posts each day. Her father's name was Shirley Stilwell who md Elizabeth Bowles. Has anyone run into the Stilwell name in their Raleigh Co research?
