A lookup resulted in some conflicting "facts". I am looking for the marriage of Robert H. Aliff and Sarah Jane Smith, 27 Oct 1884. I need to see if parents are listed for Robert, and any other available info. Also the Raleigh County Marriages book had listed a Woolwine marriage in Raleigh County in the index, and I wanted to see what that listing was, as we are having a hard time finding a connection for my grandfather William Birt Woolwine, born 3 Apr 1890 (we think). Birt was married to one of Sarah Jane and Robert's daughters, Macie. A lookup for Sarah Jane and Robert revealed no parents listed for Robert, and Sarah Jane's parents as Hulet and Angeline Smith, but with a notation as "no". Nyla Creed DePauk says: "Unfortunately, someone entered information in the official records years after the records were recorded. There are many errors." I had been going on the assumption that Sarah Jane's parents were Joseph Lewis Smith and Nancy Williams, as the All Relative Tree at Ancestry.com has listed (on a search for Sarah Jane Smith. married to Robert Aliff) with the source as “Honaker 10-22-2003.FTW.” Does anyone have any clearer information? Any info would be welcome. Thanks, Anita (Woolwine) Hill
