Nyla, I did a little more digging and I found that Miriam Barton the adopted daughter of Martin and Mary married Thomas Haley about 1892. I was able to put it together when I found the death certificate for both Miriam and Thomas. Miriam's did not have her parents names listed, however, Thomas's certificate said that his wife's name was Miriam Barton. Boy, what would we do without the death certificates? Thanks for your help.
