Transcribed by Rita O'Brien The Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia June 13, 1932 Funeral services were held at the Mount Tabor church Sunday afternoon for Andrew Davis, 59 years old, who died Friday night of apoplexy. He was ill but one day. Mr. Davis was a native of Raleigh county and one of its most picturesque citizens. He was a familiar figure in Beckley. He made the journey from his home near Mt. Tabor, about five miles from Beckley, in a buggy pulled by a team of horses. He was in Beckley Thursday greeting friends. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mosbey Prince Davis, and the following children: Oscar and James Davis, of Sun; Fred Davis, Beckley; Russell Davis, Statesbury; Joe Davis, Rhodell, Luther Davis, Mount Tabor; Mrs. G. H. Spalding, Beckley; Mrs. Helen Bowers, Mabscott, and Miss Irene Davis, Mount Tabor.
