Hi all, I started not to send this obituary through because of the obvious errors but decided perhaps the Gunnoe researchers would appreciate and sort it out. My records indicate the "brothers and sisters" listed are actually his children. The Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia November 16, 1931 WYOMING MAN DIES Daniel Gunnoe Succumbs At Age 82 at Beckley Beckley, Nov. 26. ---- Daniel "Uncle Dan" Gunnoe, 82 years old, widely known resident of Wyoming county, died at the home of a relative here last night after a long illness. Mr. Gunnoe was born at Crany, Wyoming County, and had lived in that county all his life. During his younger years he was a school teacher, and until about a year ago was an employee of the Pocahontas Coal and Coke company. Surviving Mr. Gunnoe are the widow; four brothers, Otway Gunnoe, superintendent of Malden district schools; B. B. Gunnoe, of Logan; Ed Gunnoe of Oceana, and George Gunnoe, a member of the Huntington high school faculty, and two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Lambert of Mt. Hope, and Mrs. Epson Cook, of MacDonald. Mr. Gunnoe was a past grand patriarch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
