Transcribed by Rita O'Brien The Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia June 6, 1941 Mrs. Hattie Dickens ---- Rites for Mrs. Dickens, 50, who died Friday at her home at Packsville, Raleigh county, will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the residence with Rev. and Mrs. William T. Hood officiating. Burial will be in Madison Memorial cemetery. The body will be removed from the Valley mortuary at Whitesville to the home at 5 p.m. Saturday. Surviving are her husband, Jess Dickens; eight children, Carson, James, Connie, Quentin, Denver, Alma Christine, and Patricia Dickens, all of Packsville, and Elmer Dickens of the United States marine corps; a brother Dr. Albert M. Price of Charleston; and four sisters, Mrs. Audrey Kuhn of Van, Mrs. Lacy Dickens of Dry Creek, Mrs. Lester French of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Harry Woodrum of Charleston.
