Transcribed by Rita O'Brien The Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia October 6, 1930 Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at McDonald for Burt Walters, a widely known resident of that section and a brother-in-law of Congressman Joe L. Smith. Mr. Walters, who was 63 years old, died at a Montgomery hospital Friday afternoon. He was a native of Kentucky. His widow is the eldest sister of Congressman Smith. The service were conducted by Rev. W. W. Pharr, of Oak Hill, and burial was in Sunset Memorial Park.
