Hogg Stricken With Heart Attacks Almost at Same Time BECKLEY, Oct. 29 ---- Sheriff F. L. Blankenship, 65, of Raleigh county, died suddenly today shortly after an attack of heart trouble. He had returned to Beckley from Cincinnati last night and was on his way to his office shortly before 10 o'clock this morning when stricken on the sidewalk. At almost the same time L. W. Hogg, formerly of Huntington, was stricken with a heart attack in the lobby of the post office, which caused his death. Mr. Hogg was a travelling salesman. BLANKENSHIP SHERIFF OF RALEIGH Appointed Last Night to Succeed His Father Who Died Yesterday BECKLEY, Oct. 30 ---- The count court of Raleigh county at a special session last night appointed D. A. Blankenship sheriff to fill the unexpired term of his father, P. L. Blankenship, who died yesterday morning from a heart attack with which he was stricken while on his way to his office. The funeral of the late sheriff will be held at 2 o'clock Friday at his home and burial will be in Wildwood cemetery here. Rev. William Ross Lloyd will officiate at the funeral.
