Hawley, 75 years old, a retired painter, died at the home of his son H. H. Hawley, in Third avenue Saturday. He had lived in Beckley for 33 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Louise Hawley; one sister, Mrs. Minerva Cook, of Glen Daniel; three brothers, John Hawley of Odd, Elige Hawley of Glen Daniel, and A. W. Hawley of Beckley; three sons, B.B. Hawley, Beckley; Fred Hawley, Glen Daniel, and W. S. Hawley, of Wheelwright, Ky., and five daughters, Mrs. W. J. Snyder, Mrs. Ettie Snyder and Mrs. E. L. Webb, of Beckley; Mrs. John Mayne, of Arrington, Ohio, and Mrs. Okey Boso, Parkersburg. Forty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren are also living. Funeral services were to be held Monday afternoon, with Rev. L. W. Legg, pastor of the Mt. Tabor church officiating assisted by Dr. U. G. Cook of Beckley.
