Transcribed by Rita O'Brien Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia January 18, 1934 Less than 14 hours after John C. Acord died at his home at Glen Daniels, Monday night, death struck for a second time in his family when his son-in-law, C. L. Manning succumbed to a heart attack, at his home at Bolt. Acord was buried Wednesday afternoon. He was 69 years old, a son of the late William Acord, one time commissioner of the Raleigh county court. He is survived by 10 children. Manning leaves a family of 11 children. Funeral services was to be conducted by Rev. Grant Phillips at the Bolt church Thursday.
