Transcribed by Rita O'Brien Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia February 12, 1932 Funeral services for Manser Massie, 39 years old, who was fatally hurt when struck by the automobile of Robert Vines near Shady Spring Tuesday night, which resulted in his death Wednesday, were held at the community church at Shady Spring, Thursday afternoon. Dr. Ritchie Ware, pastor of the First Christian church officiated. Burial was in the Skaggs cemetery at Shady Springs. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Robert Massie of Shady Springs; Mrs. J. A. Howery, Mrs. Frank Willis, Mrs. G. S. Clay, all of Shady Spring; and Mrs. Dora Reed, of Rainelle.
